United Institute of Designing (UID) was set up in 1995 under the aegis of United Education Society. It has emerged as a premier institute of Designing in Uttar Pradesh, which develops professionals (Women) by educating them in multi-dimensional design disciplines of the life to maintain social status.
UID is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi and Affiliated to State Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh.
On receiving overwhelming response from UID, Azad Nagar, the Society opened its branch at Swaroop Nagar, Kanpur in the year 2001. After successfully running Diploma courses of its own for 6 years and inspired by the growing demand for University Approved Courses, the branch of the Institute was got approved as the Learning Centre of Punjab Technical University, Jallandhar in the year 2007 under the Distance Education Program and the Institute was rechristened as "United Institute of Designing & Mass Communication" (UIDMC).
UID is committed to the creative development of the individual within the context of a broad cultural network. The Institutes main objective is to impart skill and technical knowledge to the youth of today, so that they acquire self-sufficiency and economic independence. UID aims to promote vocational education among women in order to make humble contribution towards self-sufficiency, growth and development of the country in general.
UID has a mission to generate self-employment potential among students through its training programs.
