About Institution

Mayo College Girls’ School is one of the finest boarding schools in the country. The founder Principal and Director, Mrs. Jamila Singh, stepped down in April 2013, after having brought the school to the pinnacle of excellence. Ms. Kanchan Khandke is now at the helm of affairs.

For the last two years, the School has maintained its high standards in everything from academics to sports to other co-curricular activities. MCGS excelled in the ICSE and ISC Board Examinations of 2014. Last year, the school also announced its official school song, ‘Let There Be Light’, modelled after the ideals and principles the school stands for. The school has advanced in every aspect- from the smart boards in the classes to the synthetic Basketball and Tennis courts- thus continuing to tread the path of development. The students consistently strive to bring out the best in themselves and in the school.

Mayo College Girls’ School is the embodiment of excellence, maintaining the balance between traditional and modern education, constantly moving forward in the quest for knowledge. Under Ma’am Khandke’s dynamic leadership, the school continues to grow and progress in every respect.

We also know it is equally important to root a child in the rich Indian culture and tradition and teach her to respect every creed. Our curriculum and activities reflect this aim.

Mission
